USCG Station Burlington is located on the Vermont side of the Eastern Shore of Lake Champlain. The station provides the Lake Champlain area with Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement and Ice Rescue services. The station also maintains the buoys and aids to navigation located on the Lake. Burlington's area of responsibility includes all of Lake Champlain, Coast Guard Auxillary co-ordination for Lake George and Lake Scanadaga, and aids to navigation on Lake Memphramagog in northern Vermont.

Nearly 120 miles long and 12 miles wide at its widest point, Lake Champlain stretches from Whitehall, New York, to just beyond the Canadian border. It is bordered by more than 580 miles of beautiful Vermont and New York shoreline offering spectacular views of the Adirondack and Green Mountains.
