II MEF - G-3

The Assistant Chief of Staff, G-3 of the II MEF at Camp Lejeune, is responsible for advising and assisting the Commander in matters pertaining to organization, training, planning and operational employment of forces. In both component and service (Type Commander) functions, the G3 Division is structured and chartered to serve as the Commander’s principal staff agency for the development and articulation of a wide spectrum of concepts, plans and polices; and to direct and supervise execution and/or implementation of those policies.

Branches within the G-3 section include Current Operations, Future Operations and Fire Effects Coordination Center.
