Child Development Center

The USCGA Child Development Center is located two blocks off the Coast Guard Academy grounds at 16 Farnsworth Street, New London, CT. The CDC consists of a 9100 sq. ft. building designed for children. The facility includes two infant rooms, four toddler classrooms, and two preschool classrooms, and the building is fully equipped to meet the needs of young children and has an adjacent play yard designed for various age groups.

The center is open twelve months a year Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. In August of each year the CDC Director publishes an operating calendar noting any Federal Holiday closings or closures to provide professional development for staff as mandated by the Coast Guard.
