The library has a wide variety of popular fiction/non-fiction books, audio cds and playaways. Library users also have access to thousands of downloadable audiobooks, eBooks and eVideo via AKO. In addition to popular material, users will also find professional certification preparation material, ASVAB and Peterson's test preparation resources can also be found in AKO. There are 29 computers available for internet access, free Wi-Fi, copy/scanning services and daily printing.
For 24/7 homework and research assistance, the Library provides a large selection of searchable electronic databases filled with the most current encyclopedias, eBooks, newspapers, scholarly journals, magazines and more. You will also find family literacy programs, storytimes, teen and adult book clubs, crafting, gaming and a summer reading program (with prizes) going on at the Library.
Note: the Computer Lab closes 15 minutes prior to the closing of the library.
All members of the Fort Jackson community, with valid military identification cards, may check out materials. Students attending any of the schools at Fort Jackson are required to provide a copy of their orders in addition to their valid military identification.
