The Fort Leavenworth Rod and Gun Club is your organization that promotes and sponsors hunting, fishing, conservation and all types of shooting activities. The club strives to improve the quality and safety of hunting and fishing on post through close cooperation with the post forester and individual land managers. Through individual conduct and presentation of the Kansas Certified Hunter Education Course, the club assists in the development of ethical outdoors men and women. The installation receives assistance from the club with hunting and fishing events and provides a focal point for conservation activities. Monthly general membership meetings include a steak cookout and program for the entire Family. The meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at Hunt Lodge. The club also operates the post outdoor kennels that are available to all Family and MWR patrons.
