The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) at Fort Sam Houston provides information, tools, and training to ensure Service members and their spouses are prepared to leave federal service. Whether pursuing additional education, finding a job in the civilian workforce, or starting their own business, TAP offers separating service members and their spouse’s accessible resources and information to make their transitions more successful.

The Soldier for Life — Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) is a commanders program, located on JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, that provides transition assistance services to eligible Soldiers. Consider your post-military goals and aspirations and the income needed to support that lifestyle.

Some elements of Transition GPS may be available early in your military career, and you can always get started with the Virtual Curriculum on Joint Knowledge Online (JKO).
