The Mess Hall at MCAS Cherry Point serves meals in a cafeteria style 3x a day plus midrats , Monday through Friday and breakfast and dinner on weekends. Meals may be eaten inside the chow hall or taken to go.

The chow hall is a chow hall, but at times it can be very difficult to justify how Marines are automatically being charged to eat there whether they do or don't when it can be very unpleasant to withstand ie. (Poor courtesy, undercooked food, expired food, limitations on food, and outright distasteful) I understand the money, time, and manpower it takes to provide, run, and maintain a food service; but there has to be a "better" alternative we can provide to our Marines. -Sgt Ruzzo, Craig S
