Hickam holds a place of honor in the annals of World War II. On December 7, 1941, the base was attacked precipitating our entry into the war. Hickam still has visible reminders of that attack. The tattered flag that flew over the base that day is on display in the Headquarters of the Pacific Air Forces and the bullet-scarred walls were preserved as well.
Today, CMU’s Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam center, located in Hangar 2, helps to prepare our service men and women for positions of leadership with master’s degrees onsite and a variety of other degree options from CMU Online.
