I've used the base optical shop on several occasions and they have always been slow to deliver glasses, but my recent experience has convinced me to avoid them in the future. The frames on my newest pair fell apart in two months. They are replacing them but it's been 18 days so far and they said it will take another 7 days for me to get them. With all the civilian optical shop options in the area around Scott AFB, I would recommend that you avoid the Exchange Optical shop like the plague.
