NAS Pensacola Welcome Guide

3 of my favorite things to do on NAS Pensacola

On base:

  1. Visit the National Naval Aviation Museum. This is truly an incredible museum with aircraft going back to the very beginning of Naval Aviation. If you have a few hours to a day this is a must. http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org

  2. Spend an afternoon at Barrancas Beach on NAS Pensacola. This private, military-only beach on NAS Pensacola is a short stroll from the Navy Lodge and a short run or drive from the enlisted barracks or the CBQ. Enjoy white sand beaches, great views of the bay, and a nice area for swimming. https://www.basedirectory.com/nas-pensacola-directory/barrancas-beach

  3. Go paddle boarding, kayaking, or sailing at Bayou Grande Marina. There are two marinas on base, this one is close to the font gate in the northeast corner of the base. They have inexpensive equipment rentals (sailboats, kayaks, paddle boards, etc) and you can be out on the water in minutes. This is a half mile walk from the barracks on the east side of base. https://www.basedirectory.com/nas-pensacola-directory/marina-bayou-grande

This is a quick list for now. I'll be adding to it soon with a few more off base ideas.
