Letterkenny Army Depot, also known as LEAD, is located in Franklin County Pennsylvania, just northwest of Chambersburg. It serves under the US Army Aviation and Missile Command as the Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Air Defense and Tactical Missile Systems. The base is used to conduct maintenance, modification, storage and demilitarization on ammunition and missiles, including the MIM-104 PATRIOT missile.
